We Can Help

Naturally, chiropractic helps traditional neck and back problems, but Dr. Lechner has also produced wonderful results with a variety of other problems, such as whiplash, headaches and low back pain. Chiropractic care is also a natural and effective way to relieve infantile colic symptoms.

Auto Accident Injury

Keep in mind, you may not notice the injury at first, but it can cause headaches, neck or shoulder pain, lower back pain, ringing in the ears, vertigo and a host of other symptoms. The truth is, any rapid head movement can cause a whiplash injury. Research shows that even low impact accidents at speeds as low as 15 mph can cause bodily injury. If left untreated, these injuries could lead to future problems like headaches, tingling and numbness, muscle weakness and even disc problems. Learn more…

Whiplash

Whiplash or other musculoskeletal injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. If you have suffered a whiplash injury, chiropractic care is a good choice to reduce pain and return proper mechanics to the spine. Our goal is to optimize motion, reduce muscle spasm and improve muscular strength. Learn more…

Headaches

Whenever a patient enters our Asheville chiropractic office with the complaint of frequent headaches; I can’t begin to imagine how they function on a daily basis. A report released in 2001 by researchers at Duke University found that spinal manipulation resulted in almost immediate improvement for headaches that originate in the neck, and had significantly fewer side effects and longer-lasting relief of tension type headaches than a commonly prescribed medication.

Low back pain

For the treatment of lower back pain, fewer options are better than chiropractic care. Last year 1 in 4 adults experienced low back pain; and it is one of the most common reasons people come to our office.

Colic

Many Asheville parents have seen first hand results of chiropractic with their infants and symptoms of colic. The chiropractic adjustment used in infants is nothing like the force we use on an adult; but rather applied light pressure with our fingertips. In one study 25 randomly selected selected colicky infants received three to five of these gentle treatments over five weeks.

By the end of the treatment period researchers found that the daily crying episodes diminished by three hours. In contrast, the crying of 20 infants taking dimethicone drops, a standard and generally ineffective treatment, decreased by only one hour.
